Sorrow to Strength
Based on Ezra 9-10, Acts 1
"And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto the LORD my God, and said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens." Ezra 9:5-6
We have all felt this way before...when we've done something so frustrating or we've experienced something so devastating...it all brings sorrow. It's hard to lift ourselves up after a time like this...especially without God! But thankfully, He makes beauty from ashes. Thankfully, He can pick us up as soon as we humble ourselves to Him, and it's a feeling more freeing than anything in this world!
"and, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence." Acts 1:4-5
God always has something greater to offer! And the greatest of Himself that had been given is...Himself! The Holy Ghost! The Holy Ghost is the true Comforter...it brings us from a place of sorrow to strength because of the power of God! Nothing beats that! Nothing is stronger than His strength! Trust in Him today if you're finding yourself at a place of loneliness and sorrow. You are in a position for a miracle from God!
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Acts 1:8
He is our Power. Our Strength. Our Salvation! Seek & receive Him today in Jesus' Name!

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
