Speak Right

Bible Reading Today: Numbers 26-27

Numbers 27:7 The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.

The children of Israel went through many cycles of complaining every time problems would arise. Instead of asking or praying about these things themselves, they would complain to Moses until something changed...and even though God gave them what they asked for, it sometimes came along with a little judgment for their behavior. But then, we see the daughters of Zelophehad, who simply went & asked for an inheritance since they had no brothers for the inheritance to pass to. Their request was easily granted, with no form of judgment to follow, because they did not complain! They did not desire to go back to Egypt or rebel & create an idol to worship...they simply spoke right! Complaining almost comes naturally, unfortunately...let's remember that God is willing to hear us out, so we should be praying instead of complaining! We would have a lot more favor with others and with God if we make the effort to speak right & not wrong, positively and not negatively. It seems so simple, yet our complaining is great at complicating everything! "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:"

Matthew 7:7

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."

Proverbs 18:21

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
