Special Delivery!
Based on Isaiah 45-46, 1 Thessalonians 3
"Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands? Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?" Isaiah 45:9-10
When we bring a child into this world, they don't even realize how special they are to us...they don't understand the miracle it is that they've been born! As Moms, we can all remember our delivery dates...and we know the pain is well worth it! Ever think of how God feels as our Creator? There are some people who think they are not a miracle. That they are not that special. That the fact that God created us in the womb is "no big deal." But we can't have that outlook on life! Each one of us was a special delivery, created for more of a purpose than we could ever imagine!
"and even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you." Isaiah 46:4
When reading this passage, we know that "deliver" means "save." But again, we also know that "deliver" means to give birth to! He brought us forth out of our mother's wombs, and now He wants to bear & carry us Himself, bringing us forth into NEW BIRTH! A SPIRITUAL SPECIAL DELIVERY! We are always His creation, no matter our age, and He wants each & every one of us to be born again as His child, through repentance & baptism of water & His Spirit!
"for now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;" 1 Thessalonians 3:8-9
We can't live this life without standing fast in The Lord! We can't have true joy without recognizing how special & precious life really is...earthly and eternally! Let's remind someone today that being created in the Hands of God is a big deal & a special delivery...and let's also remind them that another special delivery is waiting...one that delivers us from our past & allows us to enter into a brighter future with Jesus!
