Standing Corrected
Based on Proverbs 3-5, 2 Corinthians 1
"My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; Neither be weary of his correction: For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; Even as a father the son in whom he delighteth." Proverbs 3:11-12
Going off of our past post, we are always learning...and this also means we must be willing to be changed & corrected. When we add knowledge, we are changing the way we think about something...or just adding to what we already know...but most often, we have to be willing to stand corrected & change our mindsets to that which pleases God. It may be different than the world thinks, but God's ways are higher!
"When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: Yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Be not afraid of sudden fear, Neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the LORD shall be thy confidence, And shall keep thy foot from being taken." Proverbs 3:24-26
When we are open to getting to know The Lord, without worry of being corrected, we find ourselves in a place of safety! Correction does bring us out of our current comfort zone, but thankfully the comfort zone of The Lord is the best place to be! It lasts into eternity!
"Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, And attend to know understanding." Proverbs 4:1
"And say, How have I hated instruction, And my heart despised reproof; And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, Nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!" Proverbs 5:12-13
As adults, it's hard sometimes to get back to that place where we let our Father correct us...but we have to remind ourselves that God is our Heavenly Father! He is our Creator! He knows us because He created us, and being higher above all, He already has the best perspective to see into our lives & know the big picture. So, we need to get to that place where we once again are open to humble correction as we keep learning. We can stand corrected, or we can crumble under the pressure!

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
