Standing Out

Reading of the Day: Psalms 147-149

Psalm 149:4: For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

What is the reason people desire beauty? If we think about it, it is so that we stand out & shine with a pleasing radiance to those around us. And yet, fashion trends begin, and it all becomes a competition to see who can do the same thing better. Then, another trend starts, and the cycle repeats. But if we truly want to stand out from society today and do something different, it would not be by taking pride in being physically pleasing & beautiful. There is nothing wrong with physical beauty, but if that's what we want others to see most and we have that sense of pride about it, then we are missing what being beautiful & standing out really means! When we are meek & humble, God beautifies and adorns us with His salvation! We have a message of hope and light through Christ, and that shines brighter & stronger than any facial foundation! We are rooted in the foundation of His Word, and in Him we have a confidence that is not bought with money! Jesus makes us the most beautiful. We can never do a better job than the true Artist & Creator! And what's more beautiful than repenting and being baptized in water & Spirit!? A saved soul is a beautiful one...let's not neglect the eternal beauty that rests in that message!

Proverbs 31:30: "Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised."

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
