Stepping Down is Stepping Up
Bible Reading Today: Obadiah, Psalms 82-83
Psalms 83:18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
The readings of all of these books/chapters had one thing in common-the pride of Esau/Edom. To re-cap previous Bible reading, Esau thought his own strength & his abilities were sufficient. He did his hunting, but did not care much for his God-given birthright. He freely gave that away to his twin brother Jacob and ended up losing his blessing too. The line of his family became rebellious & prideful. That's the sin that was dealt with in Obadiah & the two mentioned Psalms. Judgment was proclaimed upon them, and this Scripture answers why: that men may know that Jehovah is the highest! (Paraphrased). We think our pride in what we do elevates us, but really, it comes back to trip us up in the end! We then fall even lower than we started! We can never be higher than The Highest! We can never do better on our own than God can do through us! When we step down & choose humility, we are really stepping up in our Christian calling! Leave it up to Jesus to raise us up!

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
