Still Learning

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Proverbs 1-2, 1 Corinthians 16

"A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; And a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:" Proverbs 1:5

Learning is not just for kids! Learning is for those who have already learned...for those who have already had some experience gaining wisdom in certain areas...so...that does not mean we are experts in every area! Life is learning, and allowing God to expand our understanding through His wisdom, and give us the patience to practice, will only make us stronger! Only fools stop learning!

"For the LORD giveth wisdom: Out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly." Proverbs 2:6‭-‬7

The Lord gives us wisdom, but if we don't go to Him, we will never receive it! The hardest part about daily life is admitting there are areas we need help in. For example, I've been through school, but that doesn't make me an expert at teaching. Only The Lord's help will get us successfully through these years of homeschool! Thankfully, God gives us godly counsellors, like pastors, to go to and discuss these things with...and nothing will change unless we also practice a life of prayer & living out His Word! I encourage you all to read through these Proverbs with me over these next weeks to help us through our hardest life subjects!

"When wisdom entereth into thine heart, And knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, Understanding shall keep thee: To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, From the man that speaketh froward things;"

Proverbs 2:10‭-‬12

If we don't look to the right counsel, we are sure to receive the wrong one! We need to let knowledge of the Truth first be pleasant to our soul...that will then help us out to receive knowledge in the various other areas of our lives! Understanding will KEEP us...probably from going insane!

"I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied. For they have refreshed my spirit and your's: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such." 1 Corinthians 16:17‭-‬18

Paul wasn't afraid to admit when he needed a refreshing...and many accepted his counsel and learned from Paul too! Every single one of us is living & learning...and when we put God first, we learn the most!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
