Stir it up!
Based on Exodus 34-35, Matthew 22:23-46
What happens if you only let soup simmer, unstirred? All the ingredients will not spread evenly throughout the pot! Each bite probably won't have balanced flavor-some might have a lot of one thing, and none of another! Just as soup needs to be stirred to make a good soup with balanced flavor, we too need to be stirred to let our lives settle & balance out!
We may not like a stirring in our lives, or for things to get shaken up, but sometimes it's the best motivator to improve or change completely! The same was true for the children of Israel!
"And all the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses. And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the Lord's offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments." Exodus 35:20-21.
A stirred up heart & a willing spirit allows us to offer up our best to God! They got stirred up because they realized their wrongdoing in making a golden calf as an idol. They realized they had to live by the 10 Commandments. They were stirred by conviction of what they had done, and they wanted to turn things around & give their best to God! We can do our best at anything when we don't stay comfortable on level 1! We need to stir it up & level up!
"And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goats' hair." Exodus 35:26.
Don't be afraid to get stirred! To admit a wrong and make it right! To improve on something that may have been challenging for years! It's all possible with Jesus, and in the end, it's all for Him!
"Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God." Matthew 22:29.
I have to admit when I make wrong turns...those times when I should have listened to God over myself...those times I didn't let God stir me toward something better! I pray The Lord help us to be ready to be stirred up in Jesus' Name!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
