Stir the Silence
Based on Zechariah 1-3, Psalm 140
"And they answered the angel of the Lord that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest."
Zechariah 1:11.
Hello? Is life still happening out there? Hard to tell...the real question is, is life happening in us? Regardless of the state of the world, what's going on inside our souls? Are we just as empty as this world seems to be?
The earth may be sitting still & at rest, but that doesn't mean we have to live a an empty life! We need to turn to God for fulfillment!
Has it been a long time since you felt the presence of God? Here's a way to fix that:
"Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts." Zechariah 1:3.
Turn to Him, and He will turn to you! Simple as that! Ask God to shake things up & stir the silence! He is a God of fresh starts. New beginnings. And a hopeful existence...
"Therefore thus saith the Lord; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the Lord of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem. Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem." Zechariah 1:16-17.
A line shall be stretched forth, and on The Lord's side, there's mercy, comfort & peace! When He stirs our silence, we must draw the line! We must not waver between a fruitful & barren life any longer!
"10 Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the Lord.11 And many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto thee.12 And the Lord shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.13 Be silent, O all flesh, before the Lord: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation." Zechariah 2:10-13.
When God comes & dwells in the midst of us by the Holy Ghost, we are shaken & stirred to the greatest degree! Life is no longer silent & void of God...and when we receive His Spirit, the only thing that should keep silence is our flesh!
Dwell with The Lord. Speak to Him directly. Welcome His presence, and watch Him stir your silence!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
