The Blessed for Last

Bible Reading Today: Job 40-42

Job 42:12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.

Life can seem totally unfair at times...a problem we thought would be quick to solve ends up being prolonged, something negatively impacts us that we feel is undeserved...so many instances throw us off! But in it all, we can't forget who we are striving to become-more like Jesus! Christ did not exempt Himself from suffering-that was His purpose! He suffered to save us. We, too, should consider it an honor and blessing to endure the suffering we sometimes must endure. When we have a right heart & right spirit as Job did, we will see that God saves the best, or blessed, for last! Those who are blessed of The Lord are not exempt from suffering, but in the end, our latter shall be greater than our beginning! Job was restored double what he lost, and so much more! In the end, it's not a full house that matters, it's a full heart...content in the promises of God!

"The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts." Haggai 2:9

"But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first." Matthew 19:30

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
