The Bow in the Cloud
Reading of the Day: Genesis 7-9
Genesis 9:16: And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
Some of us are looking for the "pot of gold" at the end of the rainbow. It's that special something that we can never seem to find. It's that "there's got to be something better" mentality. Some of us only look at the clouds. The darkness. The gloominess. The impending, or passing, storm. With all this, we tend to miss the rainbow itself! God gave us the rainbow as the special promise & sign of His mercy. He would never flood the earth again to destroy His creation because of this sign. More than that, it's a covenant between us & God! We get to see this reminder of God's love & mercy in plain sight, yet we miss out by focusing on our clouds & problems, or trying to search for something out there which could be better than a relationship with God-but no pot of gold could compare! There is always a bow in the cloud! There is always a sign in our sorrow. There is always a better blessing living for The Lord than the biggest "pot of gold" out there. Trust in Him, admire the sign of His loving promise, and never forget His mercy. There is never a reason to focus on a cloud or a pot of gold...Jesus is the answer! A relationship with Him will see us through our cloudy dark times to brighter horizons...making gold a dim, empty comparison to the light of His love & mercy!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
