The Chase is On!

Gina Pietrzak

Based on 2 Peter 3, Daniel 1-3

God will meet us where ever we are at. In fact, there is no obstacle which can allow us to be separated from the love of God, unless we choose to pull ourselves in the opposite direction...

Imagine if we pursued God just as swiftly and persistently as He pursues us? Let's make that our goal: to run toward God & meet Him! The chase is on!

Daniel sought hard after God, and God met him in miraculous ways! He was able to know AND interpret what a dream was because he prayed & God quickened him! In your dreams, right?! Nope! That's a fact:

"The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret."
Daniel 2:47.

The magicians couldn't do it. The astrologers couldn't do it. God COULD HAVE given them the same knowledge He gave Daniel...but instead, He gave it to Daniel, the one who sought not just an answer...he sought after GOD! And God met him in His time of need!

God also met the faithful Hebrew children who refused to worship the king's idol. The 3 boys were cast into the fire, but God was right there with them!

"25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God." Daniel 3:25.

"Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God."
Daniel 3:28.

There is so much proof that God meets us in our desperation, ESPECIALLY when we seek His way out & not our own:

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9.

Come to Jesus! Come to repentance! Chase after Him with everything you've got!

"Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;"
2 Peter 3:14‭-‬15.

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
