The Divine Influencer

Baked on Jeremiah 18-19, 2 Timothy 3

"And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it." Jeremiah 18:4

Many people who make online videos for vlogging, tutorials or other various purposes, have been called "Influencers." And rightfully so! Their content influences us in many ways. They teach things. They inspire us. Sometimes, we might admire them so much, we want to be just like them...but we have to be careful! The true Potter, our God, our Divine Influencer, should have the final say in how we are molded & shaped! Even the most innocent looking things could have bad intentions behind them, or they could simply just become an obsession or idol to us.

"And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart." Jeremiah 18:12

We all have our own devices-most commonly known today as our phones! These can open up a world of influence every time we click "search." If we look at ourselves, how much are we following the trends? How much do we reflect what our devices say & not what The Word of God says? God's image is pure, holy, beautiful & divine. He is far beyond this world, yet He wants to dwell here with us to see the world saved! We must welcome Him. We must humbly welcome the changes He wants to make so we can better reflect Him. We must willingly place ourselves upon The Potter's wheel, in His Hands, not be a slave to the device in ours!

"Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee,"

Jeremiah 19:10

Without brokenness, we will not be changed! Repentance breaks our current vessel. Baptism makes it fresh, new & ready to be used again. The Holy Ghost in-filling is the break-through after the initial break! It's all the process of The Potter, and the results are eternally special, greater than any other "Influencer."

"But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." 2 Timothy 3:14‭-‬15

Remember Jesus. Remember His plan. Remember that The Potter's wheel is better than a video. Jesus is our Divine Influencer-and the only One Who will bring us to Heaven one day! His Word must influence our lives DAILY!
