The First Day

The First Day

"And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day." Genesis 1:5. Imagine Day 1. The cleanest slate. No harm done in history. In fact, history had JUST BEGUN. All history started out as HIS story. GOD's precious story of life-and we are written in there. In fact, THIS is our Day 1. Welcome to today, 2020!

I have missed you Moms so very much! Although everyday is a new day, a new year and decade define this fresh start in a special way. A new, extra motivation breaks forth as New Years Eve turns into morning. When the evening & morning turned into the first day of 2020, I couldn't WAIT to start a new chapter with you ladies. It's the first day of the rest of our lives, and my focus today is on the word "first."

J.O.Y. We all want more of that, right? You may remember this pattern from last year-Jesus. Others. Yourself. When we put Jesus, our Heavenly Father, first, we are putting ourselves in the best position to bless our lives as we honor God! Many people use the term "winning" at life, meaning they are achieving their goals. Well get ready to be VICTORIOUS with Jesus!!

"Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:31‭-‬33.

Seek God, not stuff! Ever feel like you weren't meant to accomplish a task on your own? Good! We were never meant to do life without God. Remember the first Day 1? God created life, and only HE has the strength to bring us to Day 2 😉. Jesus has eternal, abundant energy & strength-just ask, in every task!!

"We love him, because he first loved us."
1 John 4:19. The greatest of all things is love-and God FIRST loved us. Day 1, all creation, was birthed out of LOVE. We will keep our goals, resolutions & priorities past January if loving God is our FIRST priority and motivation. I LOVE YOU LADIES! It's great to be back. Keep me in your prayers-The Pietrzak Pack is becoming a family of 6! You are all in my prayers too! I also hope our Moms Group family will not only grow in number, but in spiritual strength. I'd love to meet up throughout 2020-looking forward to special exciting things in Jesus' Name!!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
