The Good Old Days
Bible Reading Today: Jeremiah 4-6
Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
Why is it that we long to progress, change, let go of or reject the past, yet then we talk about "the good old days"? If we continue to call things old fashioned & get rid of them, why are we then not calling today "the good new days"? I do understand there is a time & place for growth, change & progress, but Biblical principles never go out of style! The Truth is still Truth, and there's no reason to change it! We need to go back to those good old days of a Bible-based life, ask for those old paths, because that's the good way! And in fact, it's the ONLY way! The best way we can enjoy these new days is not giving up on old, Godly ways!
