The Greatest Reunion

Reading of the Day: Genesis 46-48

Genesis 46:29: And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.

I absolutely love this part of Joseph's story. It was so heartwarming in the previous chapters to see him reunite with his brothers. After a series of unfortunate events in the early years of Joseph's adulthood, the blessing & favor of God was that much sweeter when that reunion happened...and now we finally have the reunion of Joseph and his father! I just picture something out of a movie...him running back into his father's arms, tears streaming down, almost as if traveling back in time to the last moment they saw each other. They both probably felt so young, alive & invigorated after many years of sorrow & hardship. So many precious moments we only hope God will show us a replay of when we get to Heaven! And that will be the greatest reunion of all-finally meeting our Jesus! He is our God Who makes Himself known to us in this life, but in the eternal life to come, we will get to actually see Him! I am so excited for that day! We can run into His arms as our Heavenly Father the same way Joseph ran to his. All of the things we go through in this life as Christians, good or bad, are going to be unmatched to the moment of that great reunion with Him! So...let's keep fighting the good fight! Let's live according to His Truth, letting His love & light guide our steps...the greatest reunion is waiting and worth it all!
