The Landmark of Truth
Based on Proverbs 22-24, 2 Corinthians 8
"Remove not the ancient landmark, Which thy fathers have set." Proverbs 22:28
God gave us His Word from the beginning, and His Word has stood through the test of time; however, there have always been people (and still are today) who desire to tear down what was and replace it with something new...while renovations are necessary in some areas, the landmark of Truth must never be removed! God's Word will still be a landmark to those who love Him, no matter who tries to bring it down or take it away! In a world of great change, let's keep the Word of God consistent!
"Remove not the old landmark; And enter not into the fields of the fatherless: For their redeemer is mighty; He shall plead their cause with thee." Proverbs 23:10-11
Those who try to remove God's Word from society are trying to weaken those who place their trust in Him, especially those who call Him Father! God IS our Father & Protector, and He shall stand with us as we stand with Him, defending His Word!
"Buy the truth, and sell it not; Also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding." Proverbs 23:23
If we remove Truth, we are freely giving away wisdom, instruction, understanding, and all the goodness of God! The only thing that awaits us when we give up on God is a lie-we must stay true to God & His landmark of Truth!
"providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men." 2 Corinthians 8:21
Let's stay honest. Let's stay in the Truth. Let's share His Word with others in order to see this landmark built once again throughout our entire nation, not just in our hearts!
