The Lengths of Love

Bible Reading Today: Song of Solomon

Song of Solomon 8:7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

Jesus is Love. He not only created it, but He IS Love...so many times I think of this, because one of my favorite Scriptures is 1 John 4:8: "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love." Song of Solomon truly paints a beautiful picture of what that love means. True love, Godly love, does not fail. Many waters cannot quench it, and it is worth more than even our very homes. This eternal love is worth more than our traditions and our comfort zones. God calls us to go deeper in faith out of love, and His love will never let us fall if we choose to take that leap of faith! It's been said that the Holy Ghost is the greatest outpouring of love one can receive, because it is God Himself pouring Himself into our hearts...we become definitively His by His Name, recognized by His Spirit, baptized into His Body, living a repentant life with an eternal Heavenly home awaiting us. How can we refuse such a length of love? We can't stop short of all God wants to pour into our lives! God lets nothing stop Him. He has great lengths of love. He left the 99 to find me...and for that, I desire to extend the greatest length of love to Him that I possibly can-an open heart to live according to the leading of His Spirit!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
