The Lord's Lighthouse

Reading of the Day 6/10/25: Psalms 3-5

Psalm 4:6: There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

The world is always looking for a good show. Something exciting, extraordinary, exhilarating, etc...usually something "out of this world." With today's technology, I think it's become extremely difficult to impress our society & show them what they want to see for this very reason. What once took many months' voyage takes seconds on the internet. An immersive experience in a different culture is just a short plane ride away. So what now? What's next? Instead of giving them a "good show," we need to show them some good! The above Scripture poses this question, "Who will shew us any good?" And David's prayerful response to that is, "LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us." In order to show people what's truly good, what they're truly looking for, we need to show them the Light of Christ! We need to be the Lord's Lighthouse, pointing them in the right direction! According to The Lord, being the lights in this world doesn't mean putting on a dazzling show. As we've said, the world's been there and done that! Being lights in this world is not for our glory...it's for HIS! Being a light is mainly for the purpose of being a directional signal to Jesus, showing people how to get to Heaven (and that's a true "out of this world" experience!)! We must show people the way out of the darkness, out of their troubled seas...just like a lighthouse to a ship! We need to show people Jesus!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
