The Magnitude of a Miracle
Bible Reading Today: Matthew 11, 12:22-50, Luke 11
Matthew 12:22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
We would probably stand in awe at the sight of just one of Jesus' miracles...but imagine being able to see healing, deliverance, and all types of miraculous works as Jesus walked the earth! This made me think deeply about the magnitude of a miracle...especially in the case of the blind...Jesus may only have laid hands on one blind person at a time-but in reality, many were healed of blindness at once! That's because the onlookers themselves were also blind! They were blind to the loving, forgiving & healing power of God until Jesus showed it through the opening of the physical eyes of a blind man. They all had their own definition of how God works until they saw it with their own eyes. Maybe our eyes need a little opening? The next time you read the Bible, understand that the magnitude of a 2,000-year-old miracle has the power to reach into your life today!
