The Might for the Fight

Based on Joshua 13-15, Luke 1:57-80

Have we lost the battle in our minds already? Has intimidation set in, and never left? Sometimes, even when the battle or challenge we are facing has not started yet, we lose by fear which causes us to lose motivation. To lose the might for the fight! Whether it be a word of encouragement or a song of praise to The Lord, we have to speak it and remember that we have a God who will get us through the struggle!

"As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said." Joshua 14:11‭-‬12.

Caleb STILL had the might to fight, just like he had back when Moses sent him to spy out the land! And just like he didn't let intimidation stop him before, it didn't stop him now either! EVEN THOUGH he was older, he knew God was always the same God! If God was with him, he would win! We can't let our state of body or state of emotions or state of mind cripple us out of our victory over our problems! Keep up the might to fight, because God fights for you!

"And the east border was the salt sea, even unto the end of Jordan. And their border in the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan: And the border went up to Beth–hoglah, and passed along by the north of Beth–arabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben:" Joshua 15:5‭-‬6.

Because Caleb let himself have goals and dreams in The Lord, he was able to help fight & expand the borders for God's people! If God wanted it to happen, it would happen, so why not fight!? Why not keep up the might & motivation!? We can't expand outwardly in our accomplishments until we let ourselves get there in our souls first! Pray about it...and praise God, because a victory is coming!

"And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;" Luke 1:67‭-‬71.

Even if we are not like Caleb at first, and we fear and doubt just a little, like Zacharias, we can come back to a place of praising God & being confident in Him! Zacharias was silenced after doubting that Elisabeth could have a child in her old age, but when the child came, and the name was set, God opened his mouth...and the first thing he did was praise! He encouraged everyone that God is still God since the world began, and greater things are coming! He regained his might for the fight!

Don't let fear stop you from trying! Speak to the mountains with Scripture! Praise God in the process! Watch victories happen in Jesus' Name!
