The Next Chapter

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Jeremiah 48-49, Hebrews 7

"And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life."

Hebrews 7:15‭-‬16

Coming through the book of Jeremiah, there is an emphasis on judgment upon those who have disobeyed God, or those who attacked the people of God. But with those displays of judgment were always remnants of a promise, which was never completely broken or forgotten...there is always another chapter of the Bible, and through Jesus, the Highest Priest & Eternal King, the Book & our story never has to end in judgment. But are we willing to move on to the next chapter? Or stand fixed where we are at?

"By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament." Hebrews 7:22

God has so much patience with us! He allows us to go our own way until we submit to Him & find out He has a better Testament & a new chapter! Man's ways will always crumble, but God's ways will always win! We can repeat the same chapter, or leave each chapter unfulfilled...or we can be uplifted by His Word & see how we are beautifully woven and written in on each page...through the judgment, to the valleys, to the mountaintops, God loves us & wants us to proclaim our stance on His side of the story!

"For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;" Hebrews 7:26

The only way we can live a holy, harmless, undefined life, separate from sinners, is through the One who is higher than the heavens-our Jesus! He has a new chapter for you. He has a new plan & a new way that has maybe been neglected, or just not considered...our story will never be history when it's HIS story!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
