The only Words that matter...
Based on John 7-9, Psalm 144
Did you ever hear things said about you that weren't true? Did you ever feel like you didn't make the best impression? You're not alone! I've felt this way before, and even Jesus did too! If there's anyone who understands what it's like to be murmured about, it's Jesus:
"And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people." John 7:12.
People may not always understand us, or our feelings...but Jesus does! And even though He knew people would do this, and He knew their thoughts before they ever spoke an evil word, He allowed them to do it to him anyway! Plenty of places in these chapters, people talk about & question Jesus...and He did it to give them answers, and to give us answers too! His Words are the only ones that truly matter! Don't worry about the haters/back-biters!
"Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill? But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?" John 7:25-26.
Even though Jesus had people who disliked Him, even to the point of wanting to kill Him, HE SPOKE BOLDLY! He knew that His Words were most powerful. His Words changed the world. All things of the flesh are temporary, but the Spiritual/supernatural things live on!
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." Matthew 24:35.
Sticks & stones may break our bones, but words can never hurt us! Actually, sticks & stones can't even have an effect on us if we trust in The Lord! Will people still talk behind our backs? Yes. Could physical injuries still occur? Yes...but it's all about perspective! God's Word will help us get through tough times in ways we NEVER thought possible. WE WILL SURVIVE ANY ATTACK WITH JESUS, SO WE CAN BE BOLD LIKE HIM!
"8The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? 9Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he." John 9:8-9.
Just like people wondered who Jesus really was, and murmured about whether He was good or bad, people also questioned those who received miracles from Jesus. Even after this man confirmed that he was the blind man which Jesus healed, they went to ask his parents just to be sure! Sometimes, the Truth is plain as day...but there will always be people who won't accept it. Sometimes, there's no pleasing certain people, and we just have to accept that...
Move forward, onward, upward & Godward! Don't let anyone bring you down! Listen to Jesus. Let Him speak into your life!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
