The Pressure's On
Based on Exodus 17-19
"Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone." Exodus 18:18
Every single day we have immense pressure to meet certain expectations...some from others, some from ourselves...I don't know about you, but I'm the type to constantly self-evaluate, overthink, and hope & pray that I'm doing things right, especially in the area of being a Mom. Keeping an eye on our weaknesses in hopes of making improvements is a good thing, but over-stressing about things becomes an obsession which needs to be given over to God! I need to pray about this specific area of my life, knowing that I'll only "measure up" if I keep my priorities straight, with God at the top of the list. Moses even needed to be reminded that he was spreading himself thin. He wasn't able to do it all, and he needed to share the load...and we first need to share that load with God in prayer, for His help & direction! He will help me be the Mom I need to be. He will help you all with your many tasks and the many hats you wear as well!
"And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves." Exodus 18:26
When Moses placed trust in others to help, then the job became so much easier! We can't be afraid to ask for help...and if we want to make sure we get the right help, we need to turn to God! God is already working on our situation before we ask. He already has the perfect team in mind to assist us...we could keep quiet & let ourselves get burnt out & overwhelmed when the pressure's on, or we can reach out to God, pouring out the things which are pressing upon our hearts, and allow Him to help everything fall into place peacefully. When the pressure's on, press into the presence of God!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
