The Prize of the Wise
Based on Ecclesiastes 7-9, 2 Corinthians 13
"Wisdom strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty men which are in the city."
Ecclesiastes 7:19
So much more is gained through wisdom & discretion than physical strength & ability...when we have the ability to use wise judgment in a situation, we don't waste our efforts in any way! According to the above Scripture, wisdom strengthens us more than mighty men! The wisdom of God is more precious than anything, and it's the greatest personal trainer we can have!
"I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness:" Ecclesiastes 7:25
We can't have the reception of wisdom without the intentional application of wisdom! If we are not seeking for it through prayer & the Word of God, then we do not care enough to have it! We need to be diligent in seeking out the wisest solutions. We need to wait on The Lord for His answer! The prize of the wise is wisdom itself-the wisdom of God!
"The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools." Ecclesiastes 9:17
When we speak with wisdom, we are heard even when it seems like no one is listening...people actually listen more when we take the time to give a wise response...even though those debating & shouting, especially over social media, seem to be loud with their opinions, a word of wisdom still holds more strength than that! Especially today, we need God's help to speak what is true & right. We need to know when to speak, and when to stay silent. The peace that wisdom brings is also a true prize!
"Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you." 2 Corinthians 13:11
Wisdom helps us to live in peace & not in contention with others. I pray we all seek out & wait upon the wisdom of The Lord! In Jesus' Name!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
