The Seasoned Saint
Bible Reading Today: Ecclesiastes 1-6
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:1
Everything in life happens in time-and there is a special time for everything to happen. But, that doesn't mean we don't prepare in our seasons of waiting! Even when it's not quite the right timing for the next step toward our desired goal, we can't be ready without preparation! So, we need to be seasoned saints! There is always a lesson to be learned, even if it's just a lesson in waiting on The Lord & patience. There's always an experience to be had, even in a time of emptiness, barrenness, wilderness or desert. We can't just sit back & allow the treasures of all these character-building lessons to go to waste! There is always something God wants us to learn, do, obtain, or be ready for...we need to be the same saints on the pew as we are in the battle, or in our times of nothingness...that's how we gain experience. That's how we season ourselves we the salt of sacrifice. That's how we become ready to reach a soul! That's how we become ready to reach Heaven!
"preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine." 2 Timothy 4:2
"Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?"
