The True Foundation

Based on Job 41-42, Acts 16:22-40

"And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before." Job 42:10

After The Lord spoke to Job, and reminded him of Who He was, The Lord then went to speak to Job's friends, and told them to repent & sacrifice, for they had done wrong to Job...things were starting to take a turn for the better! This is because Job was always founded upon The Lord! Yes, he had HUGE struggles...but he wasn't rooted in them! Whatever we are going through, when we are founded on The Rock, our God, then we will come out victorious on the other side!

"Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold." Job 42:11

Finally, The Lord sent Job comfort and peace...and restored him more than he had before! Imagine if Job didn't make it through the trial? Imagine if he left God because of everything he was going through? Who knows what would have become of him! Remember, if we're going to grow, we have to go through some dirt!

"And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed." Acts 16:25‭-‬26

Job probably felt like his life was a prison cell...but just as Paul & Silas praised their way to broken chains, Job also kept firmly founded upon His God! When we are rooted in Jesus, we can have a celebration, no matter what we are going through! As in this prison, all the false foundations will fail-but founding ourselves in Jesus will forever bring victory!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
