The Pietrzak Pack

The Vessel.

The Vessel.

Psalm 34:6

This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

An empty cup.

Silence.

The first drop hits.

Then the next.

Depth starts to build.

A flood.

Waves back & forth.

From hollow,

To whole.

Filled to the top.

Warmth brewing

From those lovely drops.

Sensation where silence stood.

Life laid down

At a cross made of wood.

We savor our morning cups

Coffee or tea...

But we must also

Savior our vessels

With Truth to the "T."

To savor the Savior

Is to save our souls

As the drops fill the cups

Or the meals fill the bowls

All are vessels

With something to hold

Receiving something

From stories of old.

The sharing of meals

Around the table

Is a fact of Truth

Not simply a fable.

The same is true

With Truth.

It requires a vessel

An open heart

As with flesh we wrestle.

Let us pour out

Like the poor man cried

God heard him

To himself he died.

Let's stand at the sink

Let's wash out the cup.

To receive our morning drink

He Himself is enough.

The pour

Becomes rich

As we savor

The flavor

From pot

To potential

We no longer waver.

The pour

Becomes a flow

Potential dies

As purpose grows

Who knew one cup

Could mean so much

As it lays waiting

For one drop's touch.

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
