The Pietrzak Pack

The Voice of The Church

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Psalms 140-142, 1 Corinthians 14:1-20

We've all heard the phrase, "sticks & stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." I don't know about you, but for me, it's sometimes easier to get over a physical pain than an emotional pain...I feel like hurtful words can linger, and the wound doesn't heal fast...but that's something I've had to put in the Hands of God, and I keep having to do it, because I haven't perfected the art of "just getting over it." God helps us to do that in a way no one else can!

"They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; Adders' poison is under their lips. Selah." Psalm 140:3

The poke of words is sometimes sharper than a physical poke...so we need to sharpen ourselves in the encouraging Word of God in order to not just "get over it," but overcome it & fix the problem with that person! The power to release unforgiveness & forgive is only in Jesus!

"Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; And the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; Keep the door of my lips." Psalm 141:2‭-‬3

Our pattern of prayer & praise to God is similar to that of the tabernacle! Our prayer is the incense, our praise is the sacrifice! Our lips are the door where many things can enter and come out...we want to keep all pure, clean & of a good report! All of us practicing this pattern together become the voice of the church Body of Christ!

"There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification." 1 Corinthians 14:10

We can normally identify the type of person by the tone of voice they use...it's easy to see the place they're coming from...that's why, as the voice of the church, we must be bold enough to speak over the lies of the sharpened tongues of this world...we must speak in that Heavenly language when we receive the Holy Ghost speaking with new tongues, but we must also be able to speak to people in a way which invites them to have that experience. Sticks and stones may do a lot, but the Sword of The Lord, the Word of God, can do so much more as the voice of His Church!

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
