The Voice of The Lord

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Psalms 29-30, Acts 23:1-15

"The voice of the LORD is powerful; The voice of the LORD is full of majesty. The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; Yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon." Psalm 29:4‭-‬5

We have so much sturdy machinery which gets so many laborious jobs done...factory workers, construction workers, medical equipment, you name it! But the voice of The Lord is able to do all the things that different machines are capable of AND MORE! His voice is powerful, full of majesty, and it can even break down trees! His Word created everything into existence, so we know His voice must still be doing all these amazing things today!

"The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire. The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: And in his temple doth every one speak of his glory."

Psalm 29:7‭-‬9

His voice divides the flames of fire, shakes up our world, tells our bodies when to function & even animals to give birth, and so much more! No wonder every other voice speaks of His glory...there's just so much to speak of!

"To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever."

Psalm 30:12

Our voices cannot stay silent!! He is so magnificent, and if we listen, He will speak directly into our lives!

"And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees' part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God." Acts 23:9

"And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome."

Acts 23:11

Many voices were screaming against Paul, yet even a Pharisee rose up in defense of him & knew they shouldn't be fighting against God or His anointed! God's voice has the final say, and God was preserving Paul to go to Rome! So even with all the persecution in Jerusalem, Paul was sure he would make his way out because God's Word said He needed to go to Rome! God's Word is always a promise! HE NEVER FAILS US! JUST LISTEN TO HIS VOICE!

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
