The Wonder of The Word

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Psalm 119:1-88, 1 Corinthians 7:20-40

"Open thou mine eyes, That I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. I am a stranger in the earth: Hide not thy commandments from me." Psalm 119:18‭-‬19

Has the spark been doused in life? Feeling drained? Has stress & strain been at the forefront, while the beauty, peace & wonder of life have faded to the background? It seems as though many people are feeling this way I've noticed, but there's no tracing it, no explanation as to why...I can speak from experience that is one of the most obvious signs of God trying to get your attention! When I gave up trying to find magnificence in the world, I finally found it...in Jesus! Soon, it will be realized that we're all strangers in this world, and fulfillment truly isn't found here...His Word holds the wonder & awe we seek!

"Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: So shall I talk of thy wondrous works. My soul melteth for heaviness: Strengthen thou me according unto thy word." Psalm 119:27‭-‬28

We must talk of His Word AND His works to all we know! People are out there seeking something greater than they have...so let's give them the greatest God we know...the only ONE TRUE GOD, JESUS CHRIST!

"Remember the word unto thy servant, Upon which thou hast caused me to hope." Psalm 119:49

There is no hope in the media. Recent events have emptied the world of its wonder...and we are only left with questions...confusion...depression...and so much worse...find that wonder & awe in Jesus by reading all the hopeful, helpful & life-giving Scriptures in His Word!

"This is my comfort in my affliction: For thy word hath quickened me." Psalm 119:50

The pain & suffering will be soothed with a Word from The Lord! His Word is capable of doing what this world cannot achieve!

"For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant." 1 Corinthians 7:22

Serving God is liberating, while slavery to the world & depression is pure bondage! Serve The Lord. Search His Word. See the wonder again!

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
