The Word in the Weather
Bible Reading 6/15: Psalms 134, 146-150
Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; Stormy wind fulfilling his word: Psalm 148:8
The weather can sometimes be unpredictable...chilly one day, hot the next...at least in Chicago anyway! But what seems chaotic, crazy & out-of-control to us is still under the control of God! The stormy wind fulfills His Word! How powerful! When we think, "Where is God in all this mess!?" He is right there! In fact, if it's His Word that created it, it's His Word which will calm it! Remember in the New Testament, Jesus slept in the storm...the storms that seem overwhelming to us are just a drop in the ocean to God! Our Creator will calm our storms. Next time you're "in the thick of it" again, just read His Word aloud! Have His Word ready in any weather! You won't be drenched in the rain, just saturated by His peace!
