Through Fightings & Fears

Bible Reading 12/3: 2 Corinthians 6-8

2 Corinthians 7:5 For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.

There are a lot of things we struggle to overcome, or sometimes ignore, just to get through the day. Outward fightings take place-on a grand scale around the world in war, gang fights & random attacks, and small-scale fights in terms of disagreements in our homes which we try our best to resolve on a daily basis. Then, as the Scripture states, we have the inward fears which fester up...those inner, secret battles no one except God knows we are fighting...and many of those inner fears a product of the outer fightings. And the Scripture is correct in saying that through all this inner & outer turmoil, we have no rest. When some people went into Macedonia, they had no rest, troubled on every side, without were fightings, within were fears. We, too, come into Macedonia...for us, that could be the workplace, school, watching the news, or simply being at home. But the verses after this one read: Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more. 2 Corinthians 7:6-7. God comforted them through all this inner & outer stress, as we discussed last post! But He sends people to be conduits of His comfort! He sent Titus, and Titus was also comforted by the Corinthian church! If you don't know where to turn today, Jesus has open arms ready to receive you through the loving members of His church! He always sends someone right when you need them, and you can be that someone for another in need too! Through fightings & fears, He will draw you near!
