Through the Motions
Based on Psalms 66-67, Romans 7
"Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: Sing forth the honour of his name: Make his praise glorious." Psalm 66:1-2
Make a joyful noise! Make His praise glorious! But how many times do we just make a noise? How many times do we just simply praise? I'm sure there are more times than we would like to admit that we just "go through the motions." But think about it...does God do anything half-heartedly? No way! So we need to make sure we pour ourselves out to Him in worship with our whole heart! We need to be joyful no matter what, because God is good no matter what!
"O bless our God, ye people, And make the voice of his praise to be heard: Which holdeth our soul in life, And suffereth not our feet to be moved." Psalm 66:8-9
He holds our soul in life! We need to make our praises heard. We need to bless God, and not just ask for blessings. When we think beyond the surface and we get to the heart of the matter as was in a previous post, God LOVES us as His Bride! As a Father! As a Savior! He IS LOVE! He deserves so much more than just a mumble of a song...He deserves our best!
"Come and hear, all ye that fear God, And I will declare what he hath done for my soul." Psalm 66:16
We can't be afraid to share it!! We can't be afraid to invite others into His presence!
"O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: For thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah." Psalm 67:4
Again, sing for JOY! Even if we feel down, we can always turn our mourning into dancing when we dwell on His everlasting goodness! He never stops loving us. He never stops being good. So our sorrow can quickly turn to joy, no matter the circumstance!
"Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death." Romans 7:4-5
Are we treating our relationship with God as a marriage? Are we in love, or just going through the motions while our heart is far away? Instead of going through the motions, we need to get through them already! We need to find out that through them, on the other side, is a fruitful, thriving, abundant life as we fall in love with Jesus!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
