Tidings of Comfort & Joy
Based on Zechariah 1-4, Revelation 18
"Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem." Zechariah 1:17
God still comforts & visits His people today! He wasn't just Emmanuel in the manger...He is God with us, even NOW! That's the reason He came! Not to dwell & tabernacle with us temporarily, but to make a way for us to be with Him ETERNALLY! That's why He died, rose again & gave His Spirit to us, which we must pray to receive! We know we receive His Spirit by speaking in new tongues-a heavenly language! What more comfort or joy is there to be found than Christ in us!?
"Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD. And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee." Zechariah 2:10-11
We will know He dwells in the midst of our being when we let Him flow freely, speaking that heavenly language! As the Scripture states, we can sing & rejoice! We can celebrate! His Spirit is The Comforter. His Spirit brings true joy...and it will all last well beyond Christmastime!
"Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." Zechariah 4:6
It's not might! It's not power! It's His Spirit which is the greatest gift this world can receive! When we receive Jesus, we have all we need to face each day & find comfort & joy in the process!
