Reading of the Day 7/22/25: Psalms 129-131
Psalm 129:4: The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.
There are those times when "bouncing back" is not so easy. Getting back up seems like too much to ask. We are pulled into deep depression. Defeated. Fearing what the future may hold. When we are asked to fellowship with others, we might say, "I'm really tied down right now." And then, before we know it, all those things hold us back from our loved ones for far too long. We are stuck, tied down, and trapped. But when all seems to be going wrong...the Lord is righteous! He cut those cords of the enemy a long time ago! We just have to believe it! He hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked! The cord of fear turns to freedom! The cord of depression turns to deliverance! Jesus is the way out, and He is also the way in...the way into a new, better, more fulfilling chapter. All we have to do is let Him lead the way. We must follow carefully through prayer, His Word, and His Love. Jesus already won this battle! Being tight with Jesus unties any cord the enemy tries to trap us with!
