To Compliment, or Complain?
Based on Proverbs 8-9, 2 Corinthians 3
To compliment or complain, that is the question! Which is usually easier? Unfortunately, it seems as though pride & anger have a much bigger mouth than kindness & compassion...it's those intense emotions & impulses of pride & anger which tend to bubble up out of our mouths and into some form of words, long before we ever give any thought to what the positive could be in the situation...but instead, let's let Proverbs 8:6-8 be our description:
"Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; And the opening of my lips shall be right things. For my mouth shall speak truth; And wickedness is an abomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; There is nothing froward or perverse in them." Proverbs 8:6-8
Seems a little too good to be true! But remember, with God, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37)! Honestly, we just add fuel to the fire when our negative words match our negative situation...in removing ourselves to a time of prayer & encouragement in His Word, we will experience that change of tune! Like a lion tamer in the lion's den, God silences anger & pride and allows our kindness & compassion to speak!
"And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." 2 Corinthians 3:4-6
God is our sufficiency! It may be hard to get it right every time, but practice makes perfect, and consistency creates habit! As humans, it's not in us to do it alone...but when God's Spirit of the New Testament compliments everything written in the Old Testament, like the Proverbs above, there's a happy marriage of positivity & a greater understanding of what God is really wanting to say to us! More than anything, we need His Spirit to lead & guide us into all Truth (John 16:13) & all joy!
"Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:" 2 Corinthians 3:12
Just speaking about the hope of Jesus, no matter the situation, will make a positive change! We will start to feel better just knowing He is there for us, even if the problem hasn't yet been solved! Instead of being complainers, let's be complimenters in Jesus' Name!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
