To Know The Lord
Based on Ezekiel 30-32, Proverbs 22
"That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?" Proverbs 22:21.
God desires to make Himself known to all! To those who desire to be on The Lord's side, it's to get to know & love Him in an everlasting relationship. To those who seek wickedness & evil agendas, it's to let them know His strength & power is greater, and that He will protect His people...but either way, He wants us ALL to be His people. He wants our hearts. To the heathen, He wants a CHANGE of heart. Everyone serves someone or something...but the greatest we can serve is The Lord! To know Him is to know all we need!
"And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down." Ezekiel 30:4.
Our foundation must be placed & rooted in The Rock-Jesus Christ! We shouldn't have to crumble to cry out to God! We need to get to know Him now, more than we ever have before. Our minds can't be focused on other things too heavily, for they could become the "gods" we serve, rather than our Heavenly Father! That's exactly what Egypt found out, the hard way...
"And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No." Ezekiel 30:15.
Sin was the strength of Egypt! If sin is our strength, we are restricting ourselves from living & thriving abundantly in Christ! Sin can't be our driving force-it should be The Son! Our God! JESUS CHRIST!
"Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt: and they shall know that I am the LORD." Ezekiel 30:19.
"The waters made him great, the deep set him up on high with her rivers running round about his plants, and sent her little rivers unto all the trees of the field. 5: Therefore his height was exalted above all the trees of the field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branches became long because of the multitude of waters, when he shot forth." Ezekiel 31:4-5.
Pride brought Egypt up, and so God brought it down! The waters made the tree great; the "tree" being Egypt. We learned in one of our Pastor's studies that the fish god was prominent in Egypt & represented Egypt's source of wealth...but we need God to be our source! Yes, we have jobs, but when we know & serve The Lord, He will provide along with that! When we serve money & sin, it will only be our demise!
"Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young lion of the nations, and thou art as a whale in the seas: and thou camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers. 3: Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will therefore spread out my net over thee with a company of many people; and they shall bring thee up in my net." Ezekiel 32:2-3.
Egypt was literally "caught up" in their sin! God used a net to describe the way He would catch Egypt, again, because they literally served a fish God (among many other gods). Who do we know more? Who do we relate to more? Hopefully it's God and not sin! It's always good to do a little heart check-up once in a while by opening Word of God & getting to know Him a bit better!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
