Truth, a Shield & Shelter
Based on Psalms 91-93, Romans 15:1-13
"He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler."
Psalm 91:4
Our God is Truth. He is the Word made flesh, Jesus Christ! He is our shelter, and in Truth, He is our shield! He is there in the most gentle ways, and the most secure ways! He is peaceful, yet our strongest defense! From one end of the spectrum to the other, Jesus is able to meet every need we have!
"Those that be planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God." Psalm 92:13
He is our everything, our Truth, Shelter & Shield, so we must be firmly established in His Truth & planted in His church! If we do so, we will truly flourish! We will have a safe place to dwell while also having the strongest defense!
"For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope." Romans 15:4
God's Word is here for a reason, and the most important reason being LIFE, earthly & eternally! It has been written for our learning, even all these years later! God is still God. He is still Truth. And through patience & comfort of the Scriptures we may have hope! His Word is the Handbook we seek. He is our greatest weapon against the enemy & our softest place to lay our head at night. Keeping Jesus in our hearts means keeping all of His Word in our hearts & actions as well. We must live out His Word to the fullest if we want to live life (and eternal life) to the fullest!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
