Bible Reading Today: 1 Kings 22, 2 Chronicles 18

2 Chronicles 18:7 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

We've all heard the phrase "the truth hurts." And that's something that is evident in many Bible passages, including the one above...the king wanted a specific answer from The Lord, and he knew if he listened to the false prophets who falsely heard from God, he would get exactly the answer he was looking for. But there was one Godly man who wasn't afraid to be "that Truth guy". Although the Truth was going to be uncomfortable for Micaiah the good prophet to say, and it would hurt the pride of the king, it had to be said! Micaiah had to be bold! The Truth sometimes hurts, but in the end, the Truth works! The king ended up dying in battle because he listened to the counsel of the false prophets instead of the man of God in his life. The Truth hurts most when we don't choose God, but it also hurts to change us. We have to remember, sometimes the Truth hurts, but it works, and God is trying to change us for the better if we just listen!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
