Undoing Unbelief

Based on Jeremiah 40-42, Hebrews 4

"and said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:) that the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do." Jeremiah 42:2‭-‬3

There was a remnant left in Judah at the time of the captivity, and they wanted direction from Jeremiah from The Lord. When Jeremiah told them that they should not enter into Egypt & stay in Judah, they did not listen-they were in a state of disbelief because they only wanted to believe in their OWN desires...they wanted to HEAR The Lord, not HEED to The Lord! They believed they were right for inquiring, but that following was not required. Do we do that sometimes? We find confidence in praying about something, but ultimately don't wait on an answer from God...we think that simply praying alone is obedience, but the answer is optional...

"Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

Hebrews 4:11‭-‬12

We must labor to enter into the rest of The Lord so we can undo unbelief! We must do what God requires of us, even if His Perfect Will does not match our self-will...His Word is more powerful than anything else we may subject our desires to...so in order truly undo unbelief, we must say:

"saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done." Luke 22:42

When we submit to His Will, we see His miracles more present than ever! We will see a plan much greater than our own! But first, we must undo unbelief by ridding ourselves of believing that our self-will is greater than God!
