United We Stand
Bible Reading Today: Psalms 133, 106-107
Psalms 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
I love seeing the places in God's Word where there is an exclamation point! Unity is both a good & pleasant thing to The Lord, so much so that excited exudes from the God-inspired writer! God wants His people to have unity, not division! Of course, I think of the motto of our great nation, United we Stand, Divided we Fall...but our country can only stand united upon The Word of God! His Word is a firm foundation. His Word lasts forever! All else fails & is sinking sand...The Lord presents unity in a loving & celebratory manner in His Word...but our nation, oftentimes, causes division in the name of unity! If we truly want to live up to that motto, we have to live according to God's Word! Only God can bring true unity & harmony...and it all starts with being at peace with God & being in agreement with His Word!
