Washed in the Blood

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Leviticus 15-16, Matthew 27:1-26

Before the shedding of the Blood of Jesus, the priests in the tabernacle went through a similar process which represented the Blood of Jesus being upon us later. The similarities and comparisons are also confirmations about why we NEED Jesus Blood upon us in our own impressions of water baptism! In it we experience His ultimate sacrifice, and through it, we are washed & cleansed of our sin!

"And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:" Leviticus 16:21

Just as there were both sacrificial and scapegoat animals during the tabernacle days, Jesus is both for us today! He bore our sin, being innocent Himself, and He was the ultimate sacrifice! He shed innocent Blood, and carried each and every sin which was, is & is to come...powerful, sobering, breath-taking...

"And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there: And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people."
Leviticus 16:23‭-‬24

After the repentance came the washing! Just like we must begin our cleansing in baptism with repentance as well!

"When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children."
Matthew 27:24‭-‬25

The innocent Blood is upon us when we decide to come under it in baptism! We are no longer guilty of Jesus' death, we become a part of it ourselves! This is the only way we can die to sin, live a fresh life, and receive His Spirit. We are not only ready for a new earthly life, but a new eternal life also awaits us! Get under the precious Blood of Jesus!!!

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
