Bible Reading Today: Isaiah 18-22

For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth. Isaiah 21:6

"Watching" in the Bible is comparable praying. Jesus asked His disciples about watching with Him in the Garden of Gethsemane in the New Testament, because praying is like a watchman being on guard. It was a time of much-needed preparation, as was the time being discussed in the above Old Testament Scripture. In the above passage, the watchman watched & saw the destruction of Babylon, one of Israel's greatest oppressors. A long-awaited fall of a fierce enemy took place! And that's what happens when we watch, a.k.a pray! We can declare victory! Just as Jesus prayed & conquered the flesh in the garden, and how the watchman saw the enemy fall, we too can watch and say we have the victory! The Scripture says we need to declare what we see! We shouldn't hide our answered prayers; we should say them loud & clear so others are aware of the victory they can have in Christ! Watch & see, then watch & say!

Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
