We can't just sit here!
Bible Reading Today: Numbers 31-32
Numbers 32:6 And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?
The Bible is filled with so many bold examples of people who did such noteworthy, amazing things for The Lord...David fought a giant, Joshua & the Israelites marched around Jericho & the walls fell down, Paul & Silas sang until the walls of the prison cells were shaken...and so many more! How can we measure up? Turns out, what we think is a small contribution to the Kingdom of God is actually something God can use in a big way for His glory! The tribes of Gad & Reuben wanted to stay on one side of the Jordan River while their brethren went & fought the battle & lived on the other side. Maybe they thought, "What's 2 less tribes? They probably don't need us..." But Moses said, "Are you going to sit here while they go!?" So, they agreed to help fight the battle, then afterwards those 2 tribes would go back on the other side to dwell. All tribes were needed for victory, and so are we! God does have something significant for each one of us to do, even if it seems like a small thing! We can't just sit here waiting on the other tribes (people) to step up! We have a calling too, and God wants us all to step into it! God could do it all on His own, but He has chosen YOU for a purpose!!
