We Need God!
Based on Lamentations 1-2, Psalm 119
We need God every day of our lives. Humanity has been realizing this since the beginning of time...but separation from God is being felt so deeply especially today. When we don't turn to God, where do we turn? It's so scary to think of the alternative in a world infected by sickness & sin...
"Jerusalem remembered in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that she had in the days of old, when her people fell into the hand of the enemy, and none did help her: the adversaries saw her, and did mock at her sabbaths."
Lamentations 1:7
We may look around and say it's not so bad. We may think all is well since we made it through one more day...but are we sure we are secure when the trouble comes? We are not exempt from trouble...so it's best to have God on our side, to be on HIS SIDE! When we have The Lord, we have hope...especially when we receive Him on the inside! ;)
"Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street."
Lamentations 2:19
It may not be our children suffering, but there are those that are. But I'm sure as Moms, we've all had those "cry out in the night moments." We can choose to just vent it & cry it out to no one, hoping the slightest bit of help will come our way...or we can choose God! He comes through EVERY TIME!!!
"Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope."
Psalms 119:49
We need our God, Jesus Christ, right now!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
