What are we thinking?
Bible Reading Today: Psalms 102-104
Psalms 104:34
My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.
What are we thinking & dwelling on? What do we let our mind run with all day? Are they things which cause us to spiral downward, or upward? Most of the time, if we are thinking about current events, our work week, our tiresome tasks of everyday life, etc., then our meditation is not sweet as the Scripture states. We are the ones who have the ability to bring ourselves down! We can't make our problems go away...in fact, we can't always pray them away...sometimes, God is allowing them so we can grow! It's all about perspective...we need to meditate on God's Word through the events, work week & tasks we must face...then we will be ready for anything! We can only be glad in The Lord!
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
Philippians 4:8
