What can I do?

Reading of the Day: Judges 6-8

Judges 6:15: And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.

This question of, "What can I do?" can either come from the confident person who says, "What can I do?! I am ready to help!" Or, it can come from the insecure person who says, "What can I do? I'm nobody important." Thankfully in God, we can ask this question from the first perspective! And not because we are important, but because, like Deborah in the previous post, we can have a confidence in God! Gideon is the one posing this question in this Scripture, but he is coming from the insecure viewpoint. Not only was his family poor, he felt he was the least in his father's house also...but in God's eyes, those things had nothing to do with Gideon's calling! The angel of The Lord addressed him as a mighty man of valour, even knowing the excuses that Gideon was about to bring up! And Gideon says, "Wherewith shall I save Israel?" Or in our terms, "What can I do?" God knows the Truth of who we are better than we do! And the cool thing about this is that Gideon ends up getting the victory too...not only against his enemies, but over his negative view of himself! So next time you ask, "What can I do?" Ask it with confidence, knowing what GOD can do THROUGH YOU!

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
