When He Reigns, It Rains!
Bible Reading Today: 1 Kings 17-19
1 Kings 18:44 And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.
Through Elijah, God chose to do some pretty powerful & miraculous things! He held off the rain for 3 years! Imagine that...all this time with no good rain as a judgment on God's people because of the wicked reign of king Ahab & Jezebel...but when it was time for the rain to return, all Elijah needed was a little miracle to know God was going to bring a big storm! It didn't take much...all Elijah's servant had to do was look as far out as he could see & bring a report back to Elijah. Once he saw a tiny cloud, Elijah said, "Go tell Ahab to watch out for the rain!" (Paraphrased of course!). How much does it take for us to believe God is going to pour big blessings into our lives? Maybe we've received so much already, but haven't given God the glory He deserves? Remember, there was no rain because of judgment...imagine the rainstorm of blessings that will happen when we follow after God according to His Word!? When He reigns, it rains!
"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." Malachi 3:10

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
