When Right feels Wrong

"25: But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.
26: Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.
27: For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him." Acts 25:25-27.

Paul was doing exactly what God wanted him to do. Many lives were saved, changed & transformed by his boldness in preaching about Jesus. However, there were some people who didn't "get the message." They threw him in prison, and he needed to be tried. In this trial & process of Paul's life, he was able to witness to the people which were high up in society! If his "right" wasn't perceived as "wrong" to someone, then those officials & judges would have never heard the Truth...and the reason Paul was put before so many of them is because they couldn't figure out what he was guilty of anyway!

Sometimes we interpret our pain & suffering as punishment. We think that there is only a negative reason for it instead of a positive. How does God want ME to change through this? How can I change others with the lesson I am learning?

Those are questions Paul may have asked. Instead of say "Why me" he probably said "How can this be used for God's glory?"

"1: Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;
2: For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue." Psalm 109:1-2.

This Psalm really compliments the struggle of doing right, but feeling wrong. We ask God to not hold His peace, but to speak for us in a situation where it seems like everyone is against us. When "mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue."

Those rumors against Paul were also spoken by lying tongues. But since they were spoken, God was able to use those situations to reach people who would have otherwise been impossible to reach! Paul was brought low, but at the same time was brought to high places. God WILL speak for us! He will help us! Trust in Him, especially when doing right feels wrong.
